T he proposed scheme consists of 1 Restaurant, 1 Community Centre and 4 residential units organised over 5 floors. The materials and cladding system proposed have been applied to this project in an innovative way to provide a unique visual effect.
The repetitive nature of the vertical elements bring scale to the overall massing and provides a textured and varied facade that compliments the street scape. The ground and first floor podium are set back from the upper residential floors at street level on Crossway and invite the public through deep setback reveals clad in metal with full height glazing to maximize daylight in and to create an active frontage both during the day and night.Light and shadow provide depth and interest to this modern addition to Dalston.
